Care

Habitat

  • Use a plastic or glass container with smooth sides (10-20 gallons) to prevent escapes. Ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Fill the container with 1-2 inches of substrate, such as wheat bran, oats, or cornmeal, which also serves as food.
  • Maintain between 70-80°F for optimal growth. Cooler temperatures (50-60°F) slow their lifecycle for storage.

Food and Water

  • Provide vegetables like carrots, potatoes, or apples to supply moisture and nutrients. Replace as needed to avoid mold.
  • Supplement with chicken feed, ground grains, or commercial mealworm food.
  • Avoid standing water. Moisture from fresh vegetables is sufficient.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Remove uneaten vegetables daily to prevent mold.

Lifecycle

  • Tiny, white eggs hatch into larvae (mealworms).
  • The worms grow over several weeks, shedding their skin multiple times.
  • Mealworms transform into pupae before becoming adult beetles.
  • Darkling beetles lay eggs, continuing the cycle.

We ship Monday- Wednesday. If your temperature is below 40 or above 80 degrees, you must hold at facility to receive live arrival guarantee.

We are not responsible for incorrect shipping addresses, please double check the shipping address you provide us. It is the customers responsibility to track their package.

Dubia Roaches cannot be shipped to Florida . Insects cannot be shipped to Hawaii.

Returns

We guarantee live arrival.

Our return policy is subject to our discretion and we have the right to refuse a refund at any time. We do not accept exchanges or returns.

In the rare event that your animal(s) arrives DOA (dead on arrival), we will only reimburse the cost of the animal(s) if you have contacted us within 1 hour (based on delivery timestamp) of the animals arrival. We may ask for photos so please don't dispose of anything.

If there is not someone to receive the package on arrival time, the guarantee will be null and voided immediately.
